Gateway Mode

Under this mode, the OfficeTen 5200 is a security router deployed at the border of the LAN/WAN. It acts as a gateway to the Internet and manages the behavior of the local network. It can connect to the Internet through Fast Ethernet, ASDL or Optical Fiber. The Office 5200 also is a firewall that can provide a DMZ zone and can protect against DDos attacks.

Bridge Mode

Under this mode, the OfficeTen 5200 is deployed as a transparent bridge. With a transparent connection, the OfficeTen 5200 can be deployed at any position. There is no need to change the users’ current infrastructure and configuration. The administrator IP of the bridge should be configured accordingly. Under this mode, DHCP/NAT/ Firewall functions are restricted.

Bypass mode

Under this mode, the OfficeTen 5200 can be deployed at any position in the network. The switch should copy data traffic and send the traffic data to the OfficeTen5200. The previous network structure is not affected either. However, OfficeTen 5200 network behavior will be recorded and certain control functions will be limited.
